A little about me…
Over my career, I have experience extending across a vast range of categories – Tourism, Government, Public Awareness, Health, Automotive, Renewables, Defence, Financial Institutions, FMCG, Wine & Spirits, B2B and Retail.
I began my craft at Young & Rubicam Adelaide, first as in-house visualizer and storyboard artist, then in their Studio, building press ads and crafting typography by hand, working my way up the ranks to become an Art Director. Over the next seven years I worked on national clients like Mitsubishi, Hardy’s Wines and San Remo, as well as local clients SA Tourism, Pizza Haven and the Adelaide Zoo.
My next gig was with Clemenger BBDO Adelaide in the role of Senior Art Director for nineteen years. I worked with Mutual Community, BankSA, Jacob’s Creek, National Pharmacies, SA Lotteries, SkyCity Adelaide, Motor Accident Commission, Transitions Lenses, UniSA, Elders and Wendy’s, whilst continuing to work with Mitsubishi and San Remo. This was a period where my work was recognised and awarded both locally at the AADC Awards and internationally at New York Festivals and Cannes.
As one door eventually closed (Clemenger), another opened at KWP! and I took on the role as Lead Creative for a newly formed Retail Department. This involved pitching for and winning new business and re-branding clients like Foodland, Discovery Holiday Parks, United Chemists, the Hospital Research Foundation Home Lotteries, and Zamel’s Jewellers.
A further stint at Nation Creative, where the focus was on strategy and holistic thinking – developing multi-channel campaigns for the likes of the Country Fire Service, Beyond Bank, Stratco, the University of Adelaide, SA Power Networks, the Department of Education, and various community organisations.
What followed was a period of freelance where I helped create campaigns for Prohibition Liquor Co, Creative Native Food Services and continued to work on road safety campaigns for SAPOL at The Sideways Theory. Post Covid, I took on the role of Creative Director at Floodlight Agency, with successful B2B campaigns for clients like Weber, Nova Systems, MGA Insurance, and Neoen.
One thing’s for sure in the Advertising game - you never stop learning and evolving. I’m looking forward to what’s next!
